Soo Jin Myland, Esq.
Founder & Managing Attorney
Soo Myland is an estate planning, probate, and trust administration attorney licensed in both Arizona and California. She advises individuals, families, and business owners on protecting their wealth, planning for incapacity, navigating trust and probate administration, and preserving the legacies they have worked hard to build. Her practice focuses on estate planning, business succession planning, special needs planning, elder law, and legacy-focused counsel designed to safeguard both financial assets and the values that matter most.
Soo’s approach to practicing law is shaped by more than legal training alone. In addition to her legal practice, she is also a longtime entrepreneur and business owner. For more than two decades she has owned and operated a pet care service turned dog hotel and daycare business built on a philosophy of exceptional care, responsibility, and trust. That experience has given her a practical understanding of stewardship, continuity, and the responsibilities that come with building something meaningful. She brings that same sensibility to her legal practice, helping clients make thoughtful decisions about their families, their futures, and the assets and values they hope to preserve.
She is known for pairing legal sophistication with grounded, real-world judgment. Her life and professional experiences have been shaped by periods of significant responsibility, transition, and reinvention, allowing her to counsel clients with unusual steadiness, empathy, and clarity. She understands that estate planning is not simply about documents or the transfer of wealth. It is about protecting the people and causes you love, preparing for life’s uncertainties, preserving dignity, and creating a framework that reflects a life well lived.
Whether representing a family planning for the future, a trustee navigating fiduciary responsibilities, or a business owner preparing for transition, Soo’s goal remains the same: to provide clear, strategic counsel that protects what her clients have built and helps carry their values forward with intention.
Soo is based in Arizona but continues to serve clients in California, where she began her legal career. She also maintains an Of Counsel relationship with MMZ Law in Claremont, California.
She earned her B.A. in English Literature from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and her J.D. from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis.
Outside of her practice, Soo enjoys travel, time outdoors, and maintaining an active lifestyle. A lifelong animal lover, she remains closely connected to the pet care community through her dog hotel and daycare business. At home, she is most often accompanied by her senior toy poodle mix, Lola, whose loyal companionship is a constant inspiration for the patience, attentiveness, and care Soo brings to helping people protect what matters most.
“I help clients put thoughtful plans in place for the future and guide families through the legal, practical, and personal transitions that follow incapacity or loss.”
